These terms are an agreement between you and Mark Szegner, operating roam o'clock ("we", "us"). Contact: szegnermark@gmail.com. They cover (a) this website and today, and (b) the roam o'clock app, companion watch face, and credit system, from the moment they launch. By using the site or the app you accept these terms; the website itself asks nothing of you — it collects no data and has no accounts.

Eligibility. You must be at least 16 to use roam o'clock, matching the minimum age in our privacy policy. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you may only buy credits with the consent of a parent or guardian who accepts these terms on your behalf.

• It is informational only: no accounts, no forms, no newsletter, no purchases — nothing here collects personal data (see the privacy policy).
• The app is distributed exclusively through Google Play; the button on this site simply links there.
• Content on this site describes a product in active development — features and prices may change before and after launch.

roam o'clock turns a travel day into a watch face: an AI travel agent ("Romi") plans real venues around your taste, and your watch shows what is now, what is next, and when to leave. Two honest limits are part of the deal:

• AI output can be wrong. Itineraries are generated by AI models with live web verification, but venues close, hours change, and models make mistakes. Itineraries are suggestions, not guarantees; verify anything that matters (opening hours, tickets, reservations, local safety, dietary information) before relying on it. roam o'clock is not professional travel, medical, or safety advice.
• Third parties stay third parties. Maps navigation, restaurant booking (e.g. OpenTable), experience booking (e.g. GetYourGuide) and ride links open external services under their own terms. We are not a party to — and take no commission responsibility for — bookings or purchases you make there.

• Manual mode: free first week, then a one-time unlock. Building days by hand is free for 7 days from your first hand-built day. After that, a single credit-pack purchase (any size, one time — never a subscription) unlocks manual planning permanently. Viewing, syncing, editing days you already built, the watch face, and alerts never lock, and never cost credits. If purchases are unavailable (including any service pause or wind-down under §7), the unlock requirement is waived.
• One credit = one Romi-planned day. Your first Romi day is free so you can judge the quality before spending anything. Credit packs are bought through Google Play; prices are always shown before purchase.
• Automatic refund on failure: the app charges a credit only when a plan is actually delivered — if generation fails, the credit is returned to your balance automatically by the app itself.
• Earned credits: rating every stop Romi originally planned for a day (as generated — even if you edit the day afterwards) earns one bonus credit, at most one per travel day. Earned and promotional credits have no cash value, cannot be refunded or transferred, and may be revoked if obtained through manipulation (fake reviews, automation, multiple identities).
• Metered chat: chatting with Romi, once live, consumes message bundles converted from credits at the rate shown in the app before you start.
• Fair-use enforcement: we may verify purchases and device integrity (e.g. Google Play Integrity) and may suspend service or void fraudulently obtained credits. We will never remove credits you paid for except where they were obtained by fraud, charged back, or left unused after the full wind-down process described in Section 7 (which includes a 30-day refund window first).

Venue reviews and notes you write remain yours. If you later opt in to community sharing (off by default, announced separately), you grant us a non-exclusive right to use those anonymized ratings to improve itineraries for all users; you can withdraw future sharing at any time.

• Don't attack, overload, scrape, or reverse-engineer the service or its APIs beyond what the law expressly permits.
• Don't game the review rewards or free grants with automation or fake identities.
• Don't use the service to violate others' rights or the law.

We may suspend or terminate access for serious or repeated violations; where reasonable we will warn you first.

The product is under active development; features described on this site (including the companion app, iPhone support, and community features) may change or arrive later than shown — the site marks unfinished things as "coming soon" on purpose. We may modify or discontinue free features. If we permanently discontinue a paid feature outside a full wind-down, the refund policy applies to credits rendered unusable by it. We can update these terms; material changes will be announced in the app or by email with reasonable notice, and continued use after notice means acceptance.

• Service limits, at our discretion: we may set, change, or remove limits on any part of the service at any time — including daily or per-user caps on AI generations, token or volume budgets, rate limits, throttles, and queueing — to manage capacity, cost, abuse, or anything else we reasonably see fit. This applies with full discretion to free features (including free credits, the free first AI day, and the free week of hand-built days), which we may limit, pause, modify, or withdraw at any time without notice or compensation. Limits may distinguish free from paid usage — for example, free generations may pause for the day while purchased-credit planning continues unrestricted. When a daily limit is reached, the app says so plainly and the feature returns the next day. Reaching a limit never consumes a credit.
• Paid credits keep their floor: discretionary limits never expropriate what you bought — a credit you paid for continues to be spendable on an AI-planned day within a reasonable time once capacity allows, and if we permanently stop honoring purchased credits the refund policy and the wind-down clause below apply. Temporary limits and pauses do not void, expire, or extend anything.
• Service pauses: AI planning depends on third-party AI providers. We may temporarily pause new AI generations (for example during provider outages, abuse waves, high demand, or maintenance) — the app will say so plainly. During a pause your credits are untouched, existing plans keep working, and manual planning remains fully available. Pauses do not extend or void anything.
• Wind-down (project shutdown): roam o'clock is an independent project. In the unlikely event it shuts down for good, we will announce it with at least 30 days' notice in the app and on this site. During that notice window you can spend your remaining credits normally, and refund requests for unspent purchased credits will be honored as described in the refund policy. After the announced shutdown date, AI planning is switched off permanently and any credits still unused are void. Credit-pack sales stop when a shutdown is announced, and statutory withdrawal rights for recent purchases remain honored even past the shutdown date. Nothing on your device is taken away: manual planning, your saved trips, and the watch face run on-device and keep working without us.

The roam o'clock name, design system, dial rendering, illustrations, and code are our property or licensed to us. Both the companion app and this site's source are publicly visible on GitHub; that visibility is not a license to republish the brand or the product commercially. Nothing here transfers ownership to either side beyond what Sections 4–5 say.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot legally be excluded — in particular for intent, gross negligence, or injury to life, body, or health. Beyond that, we are liable for breaches of essential contractual obligations only up to the damage typical and foreseeable for a service of this kind, and our total liability is capped at the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim or €50. We are not liable for costs arising from decisions third-party venues make (closures, cancellations, price changes) or for the accuracy of third-party booking services.

If you are a consumer in the EU/EEA or UK, you always keep the mandatory protections of the law of your country of residence — nothing in these terms reduces them, including your statutory warranty rights for digital content and the withdrawal rights described in the refund policy. Subject to those mandatory rules, these terms are governed by the law of the operator's country of residence. If any provision of these terms is held invalid, the rest remain in force, and the invalid provision is replaced by what comes legally closest to its intent.
